profiling - noun; the act or process of extrapolating information about a person based on known traits or tendencies. Try to profile an individual's mind — my very own. Whether it is the psyche or the self-concept, who we are as selves is informed by what is available to us and how it affects us on a case-by-case basis. Like criticism, it is a subjective process that arises from simultaneous subprocesses such as sensation, interpretation, analysis, and synthesis.
