To sign up for a free rental account, we require only a valid ID and a credit or debit card on file. If you don’t have a card, you can leave a refundable cash deposit for each title.

You can now set up your account on line - it's good for a rent by mail account as well as in store rentals! Click on the person icon in the top right corner of the browser, or go to Account in the menu bar, and select Create Account.

Reserves

You can reserve any catalog title or machine up to two months in advance. You can reserve rentals in person or over the phone. We do not offer reservations on New Releases or upcoming titles.

Returns

All rentals are due back by 8:00PM on the return date. Return them in person to the store, or use our after hours drop-box on the front door (after hours returns are processed and considered returned on the next day). See our Rent By Mail page for details on return dates for those.

Rental By Approval titles

Titles labeled “Rental by Approval” are extremely rare or out-of-print and require a refundable security deposit. You'll find the deposit amount (typically between $100-$200) on the video box. By requiring deposits on these titles, we're able to keep them publicly accessible.

Formats

The standard for North American video encoding is Region 1, NTSC format. Our library features a number of titles that have never received a release in the US, and they are often presented in foreign formats. 

All of our foreign or region-coded titles are labelled on the box or on the catalog listing on the website. These other region formats require a special player to view. We rent and sell region-free DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD players for these titles.
