PERFORMANCE (1970) (Criterion Collection)

The grimy criminal underworld and hedonistic rock-and-roll counterculture of late-1960s London collide in this mind-scrambling, kaleidoscopic freak-out. On the run from his vengeful boss, a ruthless gangster (James Fox) hides out in the Notting Hill home of a reclusive rock star (Mick Jagger) and his companions (Anita Pallenberg and Michele Breton), who open the doors of his perception as the lines between reality and fantasy, male and female, persona and self, dissolve in a hallucinogenic haze. EVILENKO (2003)

In 1984, in Kiev, the communist teacher Andrej Romanovic Evilenko is dismissed from his position after a pedophilic act against a student. On 15 May 1984, the pedophile Evilenko begins to rape children, and then slashing the victims in pieces and eating them. The magistrate family man Vadim Timurouvic Lesiev is assigned to catch the serial killer and almost eight years later he finally captures the monster that killed fifty-five persons, most of them children and young women. On 22 May 1992, Evilenko goes to the court and on 14 February 1994 he is finally executed. (BLU-RAY + 4K)

HARD TRUTHS (2024)

Mike Leigh returns to the contemporary world with a fierce, compassionate, and often darkly humorous study of family and the thorny ties that bind us. Reunited with Leigh for the first time since multiple Oscar-nominated Secrets and Lies, the astonishing Marianne Jean-Baptiste plays Pansy, a woman wracked by fear, tormented by afflictions, and prone to raging tirades against her husband, son, and anyone who looks her way. PROJECT SILENCE (2023)

Jung-won and his daughter are on their way to Incheon Airport when a thick fog causes a massive chain-reaction crash on the airport bridge. They get stuck in the chaos with a group of people including a brash-yet-harmless tow truck driver. Things take a turn for the worse when mutated military dogs are accidentally released from their transport vehicle and start preying upon humans, putting the group in a terrifying life-or-death situation. (DVD and BLU-RAY)

FURIOUS (1984)

One of the most bizarre domestic martial arts movies ever made, Furious throws the 1980s home video chopsocky craze in a blender with elements of the supernatural, horror and superhero genres, by way of an improvised MTV video. Featuring Hollywood martial arts legends Simon and Phillip Rhee (Best of the Best, The Matrix, Inception) in their first ever starring roles and who also handled all the non-stop action choreography on display in the film. (BLU-RAY)
