We're back with episode 65! Kicking things off with a MAAAIILLLLBAAAAG talking about humans-dressed-as-dog movies, SuperYaki shirts, Friday meets Man's Best Friend, etc. Then we shift into a brand new "Raunch versus Rom" where we announce last match's winner (The Proposal) and give you some new rookies to root for (Getting Lucky vs. Down With Love), so vote in the comments!! Since it's spooky season Emalie and Matt give some recommendations for Scarecrow's annual Psychotronic Challenge, and then we move into some of our picks. Emalie talks the weird apocalyptic wasteland of The Bad Batch and Matt asks all you Oppenheimer guys 'n' gals to consider Miyazaki's The Wind Rises. Emalie then gets a little weepy about growing up with the new Kelly Fremon Craig flick Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. Matt concludes our picks with perhaps the most badass example of DIY filmmaking ever, Zachary Oberzan's unbelievable rendition of First Blood entitled Flooding With Love for the Kid. The gang wraps it all up with a new dog movie, Homeward Bound 2: Lost in San Francisco, which is an example of a well-meaning sequel failing to capture the charm of its predecessor.
