We start off with a harmoniously-sung mailbag and a new “Sex with Sandra” segment featuring the steamy 18th century ~romp~ Dangerous Liaisons. Then the gang revisits a classic segment that we haven’t done in far too long, “Rapid Recs!” We have 10 categories chosen for us by the dreadfully missed Kevin Clarke, and we’re going to give you 10 recs each, and no we aren’t defending our choices. Kev also jumps in with his RR picks straight from the sunny hills of Hollywood! Then Emalie digs into her first rec, the weirdo girly theater-kid Lord of the Flies flick, Ladyworld (2018). Matt talks 1983’s Deep in the Heart (aka Handgun), a razor-sharp and straightforward rape revenge flick set in, you guessed it, Texas. Sorry Larrys! Emalie highlights one of her new fave movies (and a Viva-gang fave), Lynne Ramsay’s Morvern Callar, and Matt rounds things out with some sweaty, swampy, Super 16 Florida-noir Sun Don't Shine (that is currently out on a VHS-only release). Please marathon these 4 and let us know how you feel! As for our dog movie, Greyfriars Bobby is finally here, and he doesn’t disappoint. Loyal to the end. Just like you guys.
