Bam! Episode 80 is here y’all! It’s a Lean Cuisine of an episode but 1000% times tastier. We kick off with Emalie’s first Peter Greenaway movie, the magically perverse fairy tale DROWNING BY NUMBERS (1988) and Matt follows up with the overlooked Peter Schrader rock ’n’ roll drama LIGHT OF DAY (1987), featuring Joan Jett and Michael J. Fox. Side note: if anyone can get Joan Jett to beat Matt up, he’d love it! Grab your sunglasses, whiskey shots, and secret diaries, Emalie’s second pick is the Joan Crawford noir-melodrama FEMALE ON THE BEACH! Matt’s next rec is his beloved PAROLE VIOLATORS (1984), a delightfully wild romp about the host/headhunter/video cop of a reality tv show about…parole violators. We GLEN CLOSE it out with our dog movie, the 1996 live-action Disney movie 101 DALMATIANS! While Cruella steals the show, there’s more to love about this Home Alone-esque adaptation than simply Ms. De Ville. See you next time, and remember to support Scarecrow Video because WE CAN’T DO ALL THIS WITHOUT YOU!
